The Parish Life Committee helps to fulfill the parish Mission through
ministry of Community Building. Parish Life is a standing committee
accountable to the Parish Council.
Community is an essential element of parish life that mirrors the unity
of the Father, Son, and Spirit. The Parish Life Committee plans,
promotes, facilitates, and coordinates activities that bring
parishioners together for mutual support, celebration of special parish
and life events to build a sense of community among the members.
Christian community life is expansive enough to welcome everyone.
Special efforts to include those who are physically or mentally
challenged or those who are otherwise neglected server to connect the
parish to the larger community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a vision that promotes unity in diversity.
- Plan, promote, facilitate, and coordinate activities that bring
our members together for mutual support, activities, or celebrations
to build a sense of belonging.
- Develop and coordinate the new member Sign-up Weekends and
Welcome Brunch.
- Cultivate a group to assist with post-funeral receptions, tease,
and luncheons.
- Schedule and coordinate annual socials, which may include:
Holiday Bazaar, Family Camp-Out, Super-Duper Sunday Board Game
Challenge.
- Work in collaboration with or to support groups as requested:
"Crafty Ladies and Quilting Queens," Young Moms, Parish Seniors,
Men's Ministry, etc.
- Oversee and advise parish organizations regarding financial
procedures, records, and reports.
